June 2023 Security Update available for Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5
The latest security update has released for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series. The latest update includes all the patches under June 2023 update. While the official changelog doesnot provide any particulars about the changes but user can expect for improvement in securityof the watches.
Europe Receives the Update
European counties were the first to recieve the update. The Update is currently available for the LTE variant of the Galaxy watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series.
Firmware Version for Different Variants
The firmware update for the 40mm models of the Galaxy Watch 5 are R905FXXS1AWG1 and R915FXXS1AWG1 respectively. The version R925FFXXS1AWG1 is also being updated for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
The Galaxy Watch 4 base is available in two versions including 40mm and 44mm so they are getting the same update with version numbers R865FXXS1GWG1 and R875FXXS1GWG1 respectively. The Galaxy Watch 4 classic’s 42 mm and 46 mm variants are grabbing the update with this firmware versions R885FXXS1GWG1 and R895FXXS1GWG1 repectively.
How to install?
- Go to setting in the Galaxy wearable app.
- Click on Watch Software Update
- Click on the Download and Install button.
